New lift devices are emerging on the home front are changing the multi-level home landscape, seemingly overnight. Once cumbersome, noisy, expensive toys reserved for the wealthy, slim and sexy elevators are popping up in neighborhoods across the country. Few improvements are more empowering than an elevator. Happy homeowners no longer lug laundry, luggage, or many other large items up and down stairs, making their lives simpler and safer in many ways.
With compact sizes to handle one person seated or a standard wheelchair, there’s now a size and budget for everyone. Smaller elevators share little resemblance to previous generations. These personal lifts are freestanding, saving significant space and cost, while complimenting the aesthetics of any home.
Unlike stairlifts, which serve only as temporary solutions, residential elevators are universally much easier to use, accommodating every age and size. Often located away from the dangers of a staircase, they also offer inherent safety features that only an elevator can provide. Given the narrowing price gap to stairlifts, and all the added function, safety and aesthetic benefits, it is no surprise that they are becoming so popular.
Elevators are now affordable appliances for a broad spectrum of people and needs. They can add to a home’s equity and can be one of the best investments homeowners can make, especially for those planning to age in place and remain in their home for several years.
Platform lifts are another option that can provide some serious capacity, without needing to invest in a full elevator. Some can even be placed outside the home, against an exterior wall. We provide consulting services to homeowners for a range of lift applications (with exception to stairlifts) and are a proud dealer for Stiltz elevators.
With 20 years of continuous improvement Stiltz landed on two extremely attractive and well-priced designs, the Duo and the Trio. Now sold in almost 20 countries, they have a demonstrated manufacturing and delivery system to support their innovative design, and we’re excited to be your local sales and service dealer.
The Stiltz Duo is the smallest footprint of any lift on the market, at under 7 sqft, and fits almost anywhere in the home, yet powered with 375lb lift capacity and space for two. Additionally, it doesn’t require noisy, smelly hydraulics or need to be fixed to walls. The electric motor drive is the quietest we’ve encountered and it plugs into a 110v socket, drawing just 2.5 amps, similar to many other home appliances. It comes with safety features you’d expect from a big elevator, and battery backup is standard. Add in a fold-down seat and you can relax and enjoy the ride even more.
The Stiltz Trio offers all the benefits of a Duo, and is the smallest of any wheelchair-rated lift on the market. With space to accommodate up to three people, or a standard wheelchair or walker, it covers less than 13.5 sqft and delivers 485lb of lift capacity. Like its smaller brother, the Trio can also be supplied with a thru-car configuration, allowing for ultimate placement flexibility and use in the home.
Both the Duo and Trio require only one or two days to install and both are normally in stock. Give us a call at 302-584-6712 or email us for additional information.
The Stiltz Duo Home Elevator has one of the smallest footprints of any residential lift available. It can be placed at any angle and the remarkably small footprint means there are almost limitless spaces where our lift can be installed. We’ll bring a template that lays on the floor to help you decide precisely where you’d like it placed.
Unlike other home elevators, Stiltz lifts are powered by a quiet self-contained electric motor – no noisy hydraulics or vacuum systems. It simply plugs into a regular outlet – nothing more required.
Our home elevators are made up of modular sections which all capable of passing through and under standard doorways and ceilings. This markedly reduces installation time – standard retrofit takes as little as one day. It also means less mess and disruption to your home life.
It costs a lot of money to move house but investing in a Stiltz residential elevator has meant we can stay in the home we love.
My husband is in a wheelchair and Stiltz’s lift has given him his independence back and changed our lives.
It’s absolutely wonderful and the elevator lift is very quiet too. My wife couldn’t be without it now. We’re very satisfied.
